In 2009, the Drei Zinnen, three famous peaks in the Alps, and the Dolomites became part of the UNESCO world heritage list. Thus, also the meadows of the mountain Gsell belong to this site of outstanding natural beauty.  We want to make our contribution to the preservation of our wonderful untouched nature, too. An overgrowing of the meadows would endanger the rich floral biodiversity of around 80 different herbs and grasses. Therefore, in collaboration with the Natural Park authorities of Sexten, the meadows of the mountain Gsell got the organic certification. So, all obstacles were removed and the cultivation of the fields begun. The produced hay is used to fill our “Bio-Mountain-Hay-Pillows”.
